Par 5
Handicap:7
Features
This hole makes a dogleg left around a large lake, and players decide how much water to cut off. A courageous tee shot will leave a mid to long iron approach while the safe route is staying to the right. Bunkers in front of the left half of the green require either a safe play to the right or a well-stuck approach to a left hand pin. Behind the green, a severe slope protects the ball from climbing into the bushes, but a finger of this slope extends into the back of the green, creating a difficult putt from side to side at the back of the green.

Par 4
Handicap: 13
Features
A straight par four that plays slightly uphill off the tee before sloping gently down to the green. The landing area tightens up with a couple of strategically placed bunkers and an island of love grass. Just past the bunkers the fairway opens up but also slopes toward the green, offering just enough challenge for most players. A bunker on the front left corner of the green and a mound on the front right giving players a good view of the green.

Par 3
Handicap:11
Features
A challenging par three for a couple of reasons. It plays as the longest of the par threes here at LaPlaya, and be stretched to over 250 yards for those playing the course all the way back. While the pond in front of the green looks imposing, there is actually a good bit of fairway leading up to the green. Shots to the right have a chance to kick back towards the putting green, while shots to the left will end up in the waste area or in a hazard.

Par 4
Handicap:9
Features
The shortest par four is a tight dogleg left, which plays with water up the entire left side of the hole. Taking a driver off the tee will require a great deal of accuracy, but will leave only a short pitch to the green, while a safer tee shot with a long iron or hybrid can leave an approach over the water to a green that slopes back to front. If you can carry the ball for a long distance, it is possible to go straight for the green, but beware; bunkers, mounds and water wait for the stray golf ball.

Par 4
Handicap:5
Features
A long, strong par four is what you find at the fifth hole. The tee shot plays to a raised landing area, and the approach shot is played over a depression to a green bunkered on the right. The view from the fairway is dramatic, as the mounding and elevation changes are different than most south Florida courses. At 401 yards, this is a fairly strong hole, which is appropriate following the delicacy of the preceding par four.
Par 5
Handicap: 3
Features
The longest par five on the course, playing to 567 yards. There is plenty of room off the tee for the long hitters, and those who don't hit it quite as far can take advantage of a down-slope in the landing area to get a few extra yards. A river crosses the fairway and forces the player to make a decision. Laying up short of the river leaves 200 yards to the green, while trying to carry the river forces you to keep the ball in the air for a good distance. Once you are over the river, the green has plenty of pin positions ranging from relatively simple to extremely difficult.

Par 4

Features
The seventh is a fairly straight par four that is relatively modest in length, but don't be fooled. as trouble is there for the wayward shot. Bunkers on the left of the landing area and mounds with a row of thick bushes to the right frame the fairway and encourage a fade off the tee. Based on the pin position, a player can have a straight forward mid-iron to the green, or be forced to carry a treacherous bunker that blocks the front and right side of the green.

Par 4
Handicap: 1
Features
A monster par four that often plays into the breeze, hole number eight will challenge everyone. Tee shots must stay to the left. as water runs along the right side for the first 300 yards. A target bunker through the fairway is the ideal line, but avoid going in that bunker as that is almost surely a bogey. For the last 80 yards or so, the fairway widens and offers some room for those who can't quite make it to the green. Mounds surrounding a large, undulating putting green will help shots hit off-line kick back towards the middle of the green.

Par 3
Handicap: 17
Features
The front nine finishes with a great par three. Water on the left forces the player to think twice about going for a back-left pin placement. There is ample room on the right for the faint of heart to bail out, and mounds to the right and over the green for shots that are heading for a hidden pond. A tricky green with subtle breaks is the reward for hitting a good shot here, and birdies should be celebrated as they are quite rare on this hole.

Par 4
Handicap: 2
Features
The biggest par four on the golf course is #10. A 470 yards from the tips, it is within a few yards of the USGA maximum length for a par four. Often into the prevailing breeze, there is plenty of room off the tee to swing away with mounds and a couple of fairway bunkers protecting the right side of the landing area. The green is receptive to long approach shots, as the only real trouble is found in the right greenside bunkers.
Par 5
Handicap:12
Features
A par five that is reachable for the longer hitters. Tee shots are framed by two large bunkers on the left and tall pine trees on the within a hazard on the right. Once safely in the fairway, choices consist of trying to carry an expansive lake on the left and land the ball on the green, or play to the right and go around the lake. Choosing the latter, bunkers 80 yards short is not the place to be, so keep your second shot right. The green is set up for a short iron approach, with bunkers and a severe slope towards the water on the left.

Par 3
Handicap: 18

Features
"Fascinating and devilish" have been used to describe this hole. Played over a natural area, the challenge here lies entirely with the green/ Several mounds on the left conceal the back half of the green which features a ridge that runs through the middle, from the mounds to a bunker on the right. A front pin placement offers only a tiny landing area for making a birdie, and more often than not a par with a back pin placement is achieved with a tee shot, chip shot, and a one putt.

Par 4
Handicap:6
Features
A hole that seems to finally let the player relax can actually be a bit demanding for those who do relax at the wrong time. The tee shot on this par four is played to a generous landing area, but watch out for the large oak tree on the left and the hidden lake on the right. A mid or short iron shot seems easy enough, but the green sits atop a shelf and any ball not squarely on the green will run off and require a delicate chip to save par. Going over the back of this green should be avoided at all costs, as bogey or worse can come into play.
Par 5
Handicap: 8
Features
This par five plays straight away and then sweeps to the left just beyond a set of fairway bunkers that help save some errant shots from running into the pond that stretches all the way up to the left side. A raised landing area, mounds to the right of the fairway, and a green that is elevated significantly on the third shot will leave a lasting impression. The green has no bunkering, as the slopes and undulations will be enough of a challenge once the player reaches the putting surface.

Par 3
Handicap: 14

Features
This 200 yard hole completes an outstanding set of par threes here at LaPlaya. This hole plays over water to a green with a deep bunker in front and a bunker on the back left. The right side of the green is the safest play, but a tough chip awaits. When a player takes an extra club to be sure to carry the bunker, a severe up-slope behind the green comes into play. While some balls will roll back down to the edge of the green, some will hang up in the rough, leaving a nearly impossible chip.

Par 4
Handicap: 4
Features
The second large par four on the back nine plays back towards the clubhouse, usually into the breeze. Mounding on the right and a bunker on the right edge of the fairway encourage players to stay to the left side of this hole. A long second shot to the green has no bunkers to worry about, but a valley in the green that separates the front from the back is enough to make a birdie on this hole a great score.

Par 4
Handicap:16
Features
Following a strong par four, the seventeenth requires finesse. One lone bunker on the right, and a pond on the left force a player to play smart. Once players are past the bunker, the second shot plays to a green that is fairly small and sloping. A large bunker in front will catch anything short, but trying to stop the ball on the front half of the green is only achieved with a crisp short iron. The bail out area is to the right here, and this play offers an easy bogey, but a good chip shot can bring a par.
Par 4
Handicap: 10
Features
A tough finishing hole that plays back into the breeze to a raised landing area. On this hole, any shot in the lake on the left is certain to be a bogey. while mounds on the right will help keep balls from going out of bounds. The longer the tee shot, the more downslope to contend with on the second shot, which needs to carry a corner of the lake and a bunker in front of the green, yet avoid the deep bunker on the back right corner of the green. Closing out your round with a par is made more difficult by the stunning view from the landing area.
